I'm offering art classes for the 2020-2021 school year! (registration is now closed)
Here's the skinny:
Each class includes six 30-minute classes and one possible makeup day.
These classes are intended for children ages 5-13. I generally teach teens in a private lesson setting. Send me a message if you want more info on that: megan@meganrstern.com
Classes are held either the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 10 am OR 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 10am. Sign up for one of those options.
Class Descriptions:
Drawing: Aug 25th-Nov 17th (registration closed)
Learn traditional and contemporary drawing principles and techniques. I will use an adapted Charles Bargue method to support drawing accuracy.
Art Exploration: Dec 1st-Feb 23rd, no class Dec 15, 22, or 29 (registration closed)
Dive into color theory and composition in a mixed media format, which may include printmaking, stop motion animation, pastel rubbings, painted paper and Matisse-inspired cutouts.
Landscape Art: Mar 2nd-May 18th (registration closed)
Explore traditional and contemporary landscape art creation, including blind contour landscape drawing, watercolor plein air painting, and Andy Goldsworthy-inspired art installations.
Pricing per student per class: $120
Families registering multiple students may receive the following discounted pricing:
2 students: $210
3 students: $300
4 students: $390
Payment:
I accept payment via cash, check, card (via Square), Venmo and Paypal. Once you've submitted this form, I will contact you to finalize payment type and send you an invoice.
Materials:
Upon registration I will send you a materials list (paper, pencils, paints, etc.) I know art materials can get expensive, so we can talk about what you have already and see if it'll work.
Location: 1015 S 810 E Provo, UT
If a large enough group registers, I may be able to travel to your location, provided it is in Utah County. I will be bringing my baby with me if I come to you (and possibly my five-year-old depending on how the COVID-19 pandemic affects school this year), just so you know.
Some fine print:
*Class dates will be finalized the week before the class begins.
**I reserve the right to adjust class materials and projects along the way as I deem necessary.
***Due to continuing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, location, times and class size limits may change.
